The sea is vast and sometimes overwhelming to think about. But when I was a kid I wanted to learn about the sea and its wildlife. What secrets did it hold under those deep waters? So I watched Jacques Cousteau and would sit right next to him in his quest for deep sea knowledge. Even though I sat on the couch at home as he braved the unknown depths of the sea. It was the first time I saw a sea turtle and fell in love with him (or her) and behold years later I get to paint this beautiful sea creature.
