This year, I am gathering a lifelong exploration of past work and diving into a new body of work to share in a new book: Year of the HorseFrom Earth to Fire A reflection across decades and elements — honoring the subject that began my journey and continues to guide it. My first love was the horse. When I began my art career, it was the first subject I wanted to paint. Since then, I have worked across painting, pastel, mixed media, and sculpture — exploring my emotional connection through the language of art. Through every medium and every evolution of style, the horse has remained my constant. This beautiful, soulful animal has been my teacher in strength, spirit, and endurance. In searching through art, I was also searching for something deeper — and the horse always led me back. This book and new body of work pay homage to the horse and to my enduring love of art. I will be sharing the work slowly as it unfolds. It began with the Earth Horse, and this year I will create new work honoring the elements and the spirit that Year of the Horse represents.
